When: Summer 2026, Dates to be determined
Where: New York City and Philadelphia
What: Just-in-time Scaffolds
Are you a math teacher or instructional leader struggling to provide ALL students access to grade level content in Tier 1 instruction?
It’s hard! When we give students too much support, we rob them of productive struggle. When we give too little, they disengage. The answer: Just-in-Time Scaffolds.
In our upcoming workshop on March 13th, we’ll work on practical ways of providing your students access to grade level math lessons. You will practice:

What: Word Problems - Building Context and Algebraic Reasoning
Word problems are where students — and teachers — struggle most, and the data almost always shows it. This session goes well beyond "read it again", “CUBES” or “keyword strategies”.
Elementary and Middle School Teachers and leaders will build a framework for developing students as critical thinkers who can interpret context, understand mathematical structure, choose models that match their developmental level, and craft equations to prove their thinking.

What: Content Bootcamp: Building Deep Mathematical Knowledge
This workshop is designed for teachers and instructional leaders who want to go deeper on the mathematical content itself, building the conceptual understanding that makes instruction stick. Avoiding “tips and tricks”, we'll dig into key topics including base ten understanding, place value, and fractions — not just what to teach, but why the math works the way it does. Participants leave with stronger content knowledge, clearer mental models, and a renewed confidence in their ability to teach these foundational concepts in ways that transfer to students.

What: Ensuring 5th Grade Success: A Workshop for 3rd–5th Grade Teachers & Instructional Leaders
The 5th grade dip is real, and it rarely starts in 5th grade. This workshop brings together grade 3–5 teachers and their leaders to examine the progression of key concepts, identify where students lose the thread, and build a shared instructional plan for closing the gap before it becomes a crisis.
