What: Just-in-time Scaffolds
Are you a math teacher or instructional leader struggling to provide ALL students access to grade level content in Tier 1 instruction?
It’s hard! When we give students too much support, we rob them of productive struggle. When we give too little, they disengage. The answer: Just-in-Time Scaffolds.
In our upcoming workshop on March 13th, we’ll work on practical ways of providing your students access to grade level math lessons. You will practice:
- Identifying the prerequisite skills needed for the grade-level topic and lesson.
- Provide a "bridge" resource that students use to gain access.
- Keep the rigor of the grade-level task in tact.
